Lost and Found
Network: NBC
Stars: Katee Sackhoff (“Battlestar Galactica”), Brian Cox (“Kings”)
The pitch: Quirky, headstrong LA cop (Sackhoff) clashes with authority and is exiled to the police station basement, where she uses items in the lost and found to solve cold cases.
Why we think they didn’t pick it up: With “Southland” and two “Law and Orders,” NBC doesn’t need another cop show in their stable. Instead, they picked up two medical dramas in hopes of replacing flatlined “ER.” They also added the family dramedy “Parenthood,” based on the 1989 movie. Maybe they’re just nostalgic: In 1990, the first attempt at a “Parenthood” series bombed on NBC.
