Wow! Last week, I stayed at the Edgewater Hotel in Winter Garden. Beautiful place!Very manicured clean and peaceful. My wife and I, wanted to have a nice steak for dinner, but not being from the area, I did not know where to go. Well, I asked a guest at the hotel and she recommended SARIS. The first thing that impressed me was the entrance. You go through the kitchen to get to the diing area, which only seats 18-21 people. The kitchen as well as the rest of the restaurant was immaculate. Everything was so clean and nothing, and I mean, nothing, was out of place. The second thing that impressed me was the Chef. Chef Vives, not only treated us like Royalty, he was down to earth and his service was more than excellent. Very humble, honest & friendly, Chef Vives made us feel like we were at home. Third, the food. When Chef Vives told us that tge restaurant had no steak knives, but butter knives to cut the steaks, I was skeptical, unti I sank the knife in my New York Strip Steak and wow! it was so tender that just like he said, all you need is a butter knife! For desert,, we had triple chocolate cheesecake and it was to die for! I've only had a cheesecake as that one and it was in the Brooklyn Diner in Manhattan! As you cab see, SARIS is the best place in Central Florida. I highly recommend it. Hopefully Chef Vives will come down to South Florida and open another Saris. Chef, congratulations and keep it up.
