The dish
by Tim DiGravina
The heart of the cafe’s menu is its 12 “Tastes,” each available in a wrap ($5.99) or salad ($6.89). These smartly chosen tastes run the gamut from American to Greek to Asian to Latin American. The one factor they all share is freshness. Oh and they’re ready in a flash; they’re not kidding about the “fast” part. Each comes with a large pickle spear and a choice of Terra Chips or a tasty little side salad called broccoli crunch .
Not being a salad kind of guy, I tried four different wraps. The wrap itself is a large, stable whole-wheat-style pita. Wraps can be served cold or grilled (global warmed) and be made green (no cheese or sauce). My favorite wrap is the turkey cranberry, filled with turkey, walnuts, romaine lettuce, dried cranberries, and a yummy raspberry vinaigrette.
