At the tip of swank New Broad Street in Baldwin Park is the hidden gem Lago. It might be hard to spot in the small sea of restaurants as you navigate the roundabout that fronts Lake Baldwin, but it’s worth the visit, thanks to its views of the lake, cool relaxed atmosphere, and tasty menu. Though the dinner entrees are pricey outside of the pizzas, the lunch menu includes some fairly priced flat bread, panini, salads, and a few reasonable entrees. A dinner gnocchi dish runs $18, but there’s a pan-seared mini gnocchi at lunch for $11.
