Fulton's Crab House: Chef Ron Cope will prepare a special dinner including BBQ St. Louis Ribs, fresh corn on the cob and crispy onion straws for $29.95. Dad can wash it down with $3 Bass Ales. (Oh and those rugrats eat free.)

They are also hosting a Best Dads contest

(Also available will be the single malt scotch flight ($13.95) with Glenmorangie, 10-year old Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban and Glenmorangie Nectar D'or.

Smokey Bones Bar: Dads get a free meal with the purchase of a meal.

Wolfgang Puck Cafe: Dad can taste beers from around the world in the World Beer Tasting ($40 per person), featuring three different types of beer paired with a complementing dish. The menu includes shrimp in Thai green curry paired with tiger beer from Thailand for the appetizer; Guinness Sorbet as an intermezzo; peppered steak with wild cherry demi complemented by La Fin Du Monde from Canada for the entree; and for dessert will be bananas foster paired with New Castle from England.

Other events

On the non-restaurant front, for Dads wanting a little entertainment in their weekend, Osceola Heritage Park (exhibition building) will host the FCW and WWE Hall of Fame Legends Father's Day Salute on Friday, June 19 at 8 p.m. The salute will feature WWE Hall of Fame legends and their son's as well as a heavy weight tag team match, heavyweight title match, queen of Florida match, and an autograph session with WWE Diva Champion Candice Michelle. About Me

The other half of Metromix.com, Kelly, told me to stop being a faceless figure, so here I am, profile and all. I'll be blogging about a little bit of everything on the The Big O, but mostly about restaurants and events. You may run into me at local tweetups (@metromixorlando, @thanson) or live-tweeting an event (American Idol Experience, Florida Film Festival), or at a comic convention or concert. Or I may be having some sweet potato fries and half-price appetizers at Waitiki. But wherever I am, you can be sure I'm having a good time with good friends. (Or standing by myself texting fast and furious ...)
