Very good calimari. If its not prepped right it just doesnt work. They definitely know whats going on. I enjoyed myself. Good wine list.

I noticed that others have given the service at Spice rave reviews and am completely stunned. I went to Spice on a Tuesday night and wasn't one of the fortunate ones who were able to get a seat on the back patio overlooking the lake. Unfortunately the back patio was full that night, and I had to sit on the front patio overlooking the street.
It took nine minutes for the first person to come and ask me what I wanted to drink (an order which was never completed), and another eight minutes for yet another person to ask what I wanted to drink which resulted in an eleven minute wait for him to bring my drink back. (I was waiting to meet someone who was late, so I kept checking me cell phone and was therefore very cognizant of the timing).
When the person who was joining me finally arrived it took several minutes for the waiter to bring his drink.
We finally were able to order our entrees, and after waiting a long time with empty glasses our waiter returned with our food order.
My review is based solely on the service because when our food arrived both of our entrees and our side dishes were ice cold. We had finally had enough so we left without eating.

Meal was good, but that's about it. Extensive wine list but $9 to $15 a glass is a bit much. It you don't mind eating with the snooty Winter Park crowd - then go ahead. Everything ala carte.
