Bridgeworks Irish Pub & Grill
4.1
- 4 New Street
- Bethlehem, PA 18015
- 610-868-1313
A hub of a pub and a home away from home. A nimble, neighborly staff serves shepherd’s pie, Thai chicken and broccoli over wild rice and some of the Valley’s best Buffalo wings in a comforting restaurant with a living-room window and a cozy bar with a tin ceiling. Entertainment includes crayoning paper tablecloths, scanning Gene Mater’s caricatures of celebrities associated with Bethlehem (i.e., ballerina Gelsey Kirkland, born at St. Luke’s Hospital) and bartender/spirit tender/yarner Joe Scull, who has a foamy, Guinness-stout personality. Drawbacks include harshly lit bathrooms and a tendency to undercook meat (Hint: order medium if you want medium rare).

I keep checking back on this place and it never gets better. Disappointing for what's supposedly an institution.
