Call it what you will—goin' green, livin' eco-consciously, huggin' trees—but no matter how it’s phrased one thing’s for sure, caring for the environment is one of today’s hottest trends. And if anyone knows how to take a trend to the next level, it’s musicians.

Musicians have always been advocates for social change, be it the anti-war movement, animal rights or, you guessed it, going green. Many bands and solo performers are looking to shrink their eco-footprints by any means possible in hopes of inspiring their loyal fans to do the same. Not since Captain Planet has saving the Earth been so cool.
