In 1985, at the height of their popularity, Duran Duran played the Live Aid concert for African famine relief in front of an estimated TV audience of 1.5 billion. During "A View to a Kill," the theme song the band had created for the latest James Bond film, Le Bon's voice cracked badly during one chorus. It was a bad omen; the original five members would not perform again together for another 18 years.
