Boys on film

Taking their name from a character in the campy sci-fi flick "Barbarella," Duran Duran originally formed in 1978 in the U.K. city of Birmingham. The classic lineup of (left to right) keyboardist Nick Rhodes, singer Simon Le Bon, drummer Roger Taylor, guitarist Andy Taylor and bassist John Taylor came together in 1980 with the addition of Le Bon, who—legend has it—showed up to an audition wearing pink leopard-print pants.
By the way, in case you were wondering: none of the Taylors are actually related.
