Kentucky-based jam band My Morning Jacket mixes indie, country, funk and psychedelic rock into their eclectic, reverb-heavy music. Their earlier studio efforts "It Still Moves" and "Z" seamlessly forged what used to be disparate styles and approaches. Their latest release "Evil Urges," has more of a pop-funk feel, with heavy Prince and Lenny Kravitz influences. Hey, there's nothing wrong with trying something new, unless it sucks, but My Morning Jacket is known for giving solid live performances. They also appeared in Cameron Crowe's "Elizabeth Town," under the pseudonym Ruckus.
