MOVIES: 24-hour film fest
Just saw this post over at The Daily City Blog and thought I would share.
Turns out Premiere Cinema on Colonial Drive in Orlando will be hosting the "Orlando 24-Hour Film Festival" from 9 a.m. Jan. 31 to 9 a.m. Feb. 1. Teams are expected to get together and create a three-five minute short film within the 24-hours given.
According to Daily City: "The competition will include a packet that will be picked up at 9 a.m. at Premiere Cinemas. Inside the packet will be two genres to choose from and a list of 15 objects of which the teams must incorporate three in the film. The packet will also include talent release forms, location release forms and the most important, a blank DVD which they will return the short film on. All must be sealed in the packet before 9 a.m. into the designated drop zone at Premiere Cinemas."
I'm curious what the sleep-deprived filmmakers will turn out, my money is on 60 percent of the entries being zombie flicks.
