Orlando graffiti
I’ve been living here long enough to notice the scenery changing. All over our little downtown area, more and more really cool murals are popping up, adding a rich and diverse vibe to our culture. Some of the styles are such that I’d expect to find in cities like New York or Miami. So it came as no surprise to find that all of these artists came from everywhere but here — Brooklyn, New Jersey, New York City and Puerto Rico to name a few. These artists go by different titles like Animator, Muralist, Writers, Graffiti Artists, and Urban Artists. And some go by code names as diverse as their titles.
All of the murals photographed for this project were painted on “legal walls,” meaning, the owners have either commissioned or given permission for the artists to use as their canvas. – Miriam Lorenzi
