House 2: Interstellar Terror

PH: Sometimes I think the guys who come up with the back stories behind some of these houses just watch a lot of Twilight Zone episodes then ask each other “Now how would Uwe Boll handle this?” “Interstellar Terror” concerns a ship that flew out of the solar system and disappeared, only to pop up next to the moon with some nasties hitching along (and we ain’t talking tribbles here). You go through the ship, some guys in space suits jump out, you know the drill. The story’s a little lax and the jumps aren’t very well-timed. It’s not very exciting, but at least Universal found a use for their spinning-hallway-of-disorientation-oh-god-I’m-gonna-puke.

TC: Cop out! The E.T.’s infect the ship with the ‘ol space madness, which means we don’t actually get to see any aliens in all their slimy glory (the only thing that redeemed last year’s house based on The Thing). No, instead it’s Captain Fodder and Ensign Redshirt popping out of nowhere and either telling you to get off the ship or asking you to join the Borg (or whatever). Make up your mind! Highlight: Look for the poor guy being sucked out of the ruptured hull. Close the pod bay doors, Hal!
