EVENTS: Jon Voight to headline Florida Film Festival

"Here I am, goin' to Florida, my leg hurts, my butt hurts, my chest hurts, my face hurts, and like that ain't enough, I gotta pee all over myself."

Okay, so it's actually Dustin Hoffman's character Ratso Rizzo that says that line, but it works, so let's go with it. Enzian is pulling out all the stops this year, bringing back big-name celebrities in addition to the plethora of features, docs, shorts, etc. Glenn Close has already been announced as one headliner with  "An Evening with Glenn Close featuring 'Fatal Attraction'" event already selling out.

Now "An Evening with Jon Voight featuring 'Midnight Cowboy'" has been scheduled for closing night for $30. This being the 40th-anniversary screening of the film, most of us weren't even born when the film won it's three Academy Awards much less remember that it was the first X-rated film to do so. Quite appropriate that the film will take its place among "Crimes of Passion," "La Dolce Vita" and "Fatal Attraction" in the festival's Forbidden Film Showcase.
