Theme park guests are boarding the Simpsons Ride, the newest attraction at Universal Studios in Orlando. The bright yellow billboards for the ride, based on characters from the Fox animated series, have changed wording from "coming soon" to "now open." A grand opening is set for next month.

The motion-simulator ride takes passengers on a rollicking tour of the fictional Krustyland theme park. Voices and characters from the television series are used as the Simpson family encounters long waits, rides gone amok, perilous snacks and an escaped con.

The Simpsons Ride replaces Back to the Future: The Ride, also a motion simulator, in the World Expo area of the park.
