BEERS: Kelly's on SBK Live! tonight

Hey everyone. If you've been listening to SBK Live! on WTKS 104.1 as often as me, you know that they have a regular Friday feature where they taste test beers, as sponsored by my second home, McRaney's Tavern.

Now, if you are also like me in that you're a beer snob, the hour they devote to this tasting is almost unlistenable. To hear them give beers like Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA a cumulative score of 6.125 is absolutely unbearable. It's not that I'm a snob about beer just to be snobby - it's just that they don't know what they're talking about.

So with that in mind, our own fearless beer drinker, Kelly "Irish Handcuffs" Fitzpatrick, is off to teach them a thing or two about beer appreciation. She's on at 10 p.m., so be sure to call in, 407-916-1041, and show her some love. I'll probably be texting her the whole time, giving her quickie history lessons on all the different styles of beer, like some Cyrano de Bergerac of booze.

And I know that there are other things to talk about, considering the crap that went down today, but now is a perfect time to sit with friends, share a beer, and appreciate the little things in life.
