Shake off the memory of watching three seasons of "Laguna Beach" to enjoy a new nightclub of the same name—minus the vapid, high–school drama of Lauren Conrad and friends. Located on the third level of Fort Lauderdale's BeachPlace, this Laguna Beach features themed foam parties, ass-shaking contests and wet T-shirt battles to provide enough guilty pleasures of its own.

At the entrance, guests are greeted by a team of security guards who take their jobs so seriously they can be found decked out in SWAT–like gear and doing pushups in their downtime. The club is less serious inside, making way for a spontaneous party atmosphere in which beer funnels hang above the bar, graffiti images of Hennessy and dollar bills are sprayed on the walls and ripped T-shirt material stretches across the stage.

A large VIP section shrouded in white curtains is perched in the middle of the club. The common folk, meanwhile, are relegated to two main bars, a dance floor by a glass–encased DJ booth and an outdoor balcony. On a recent ladies night, Mohawked bartenders practiced bottle tricks and waited for the 800-person crowd that fills the place to capacity on the weekends to arrive.

Stop by for: Teen night starting Monday, June 9; free drinks for ladies Wednesdays; two–for–one bottle specials during VIP Fridays; hip-hop and dance until 4 a.m. during Detour Saturdays

Load up on: Hennessy or sex on the beach shots

Tunes: "Get It Shawty" by Lloyd, "Tell Me When To Go" by E-40 featuring Keak da Sneak and "Shawty" by Plies featuring T-Pain

Leave the house in: Tank tops and mini skirts for ladies and XXL T-shirts and baggy jeans for guys

How to find it: 17 S. Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd., #302, Fort Lauderdale, 954-523-7377, Myspace.com/lagunabeachnightclub
