What a great day this 27th of June is. There is so much going on to keep us UP and SMILING.  Where to start? Here are my recommendations for today:

2ND Florida Quarterly Noise Report is a day-long live music event that started at 2 p.m. this afternoon and goes till 1 a.m. tonight. Head on over to Will’s Pub on Mill’s Avenue right now (after you read this) for local live love.

After rocking for a couple hours, grab some joe to keep you going from our beloved Seven Sisters Coffee and head downtown to The Office Gallery at 47 E. Robinson Street (next to Kinkos) for the Collabo Show which starts at 7pm. This is a “freewill creativity” showing of works from Orlando artists and sure to be an intriguing event. NEXT, stop by the CityArts Factory for the event of the evening, Handbags for Hospice. Wendy Davis of Poca’s Hottest created this event out of gratitude for Hospice of the Comforter to benefit their wonderful cause. Over 50 artists have participated in turning wooden box handbags into original works of art. This charity auction starts at 7:30 and last bids will be taken at 9:30. Shak Nasti and Junkie Rush are performing, there will be hors d'oeuvres and a donation cash bar. FUN-FUN ART STUFF!

Finally, end the night by heading back over to Mills Avenue area to The Peacock Room for the kickoff of El Experimento de la Vida Tour. Remember the blog I wrote last week about the brilliant new album put out by Abdias Garcia called El Experimento de la Vida? Well tonight he will be on stage with amazingly spectacular musicians performing those songs live for our listening pleasure. Lovers of world-class music do not want to miss this.
